Thank you for visiting this website. In all of my work as an artist, I examine the intersection of subject, material, place, and the opportunity we humans have to find insights into the larger meaning of our lives.
Spirit of the Body Exhibit
When artists’ work exceeds life-size, a special setting is required for the exhibit. “SPIRIT OF THE BODY”, an exhibition of large works by six Arizona artists will be shown in The Bisbee Art Garage (formerly the Chevrolet dealership from the 1950’s) located in historic Lowell-Bisbee from April 13-May 11. The space is big, the ceilings high, and the light is perfect.
Among the works are huge photographs by nationally exhibited photographers David Rose and David Neufeld. Painter Dylan Morgan brings a large work; master inventor Ben Dale, his 9-foot sculptural musical instrument, and welder Luke Oldfield shows giant Claes Oldenburg-like tools. Performance artist Tamela Turtle will duplicate her oft-seen extravagant costuming on three manikins each bearing Tamela’s face, cast by Juanetta Hill.
The exhibit opens April 13 with a reception from 3-7 pm with jazz by the Humblebees 4-6 pm.
Hours for the public are: Noon to 5 pm, Friday-Sunday with special viewings by appointment. The exhibit is free to the public.
